Payment Protection Insurance Claims, what you need to do
We endeavour to give our clients the best possible service at all times and as more and more people are claiming for mis sold ppi we thought it was important to give you some guidance on how we deal with your ppi claims and the process that we follow. These steps are necessary as the lenders are becoming more difficult to deal with and our Regulator the MOJ does not approve of bad practises by claims management companies.
If you are 100% sure you had PPI and have a copy of the agreement to prove it or a copy of your credit card showing you have been making the monthly payments.
Simply request a ppi claim pack fill it in and return it and we will then take up the complaint with the provider on your behalf.
Don’t have the agreement but almost sure you had ppi and have the agreement number
Simply request a claim pack, complete and return it to us along with a cheque or postal order for £1 made payable to the provider as we will request a copy of your agreement under section 77-79 from the provider to make sure you have had
ppi on the agreement before we submit a complaint.
Don’t have the agreement number or copy of the agreement.
Simply request a claim pack and complete it, obtain your credit file from Experian at a cost of £2 from this link http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/statutory-report.html and either send it along with your pack our email it to david.miller@moneyandme.co.uk and then send a £1 cheque for every agreement you wish us to check made payable to the provider and we will submit section 77-79 requests on your behalf. We will then check the agreements and if ppi was added we will submit a complaint on your behalf.
Please understand if you do not do this or another claims management company does not do this on your behalf you are reducing the chances of success as banks will simply write back and say they cannot locate your file.
No claims management company can obtain your credit file so please understand this and also if they do blanket complaints without the relevant information run the risk of having their licence withdrawn by the MOJ and this would leave you in no man’s land with your ppi complaint.
With more than 700 licences being withdrawn in the last year alone please follow these steps above and if a claims management company you are using is not doing this then please also be aware you are running the risk that if they get their licence withdrawn you are going to have to start all over again.
Think carefully about it as you have to fill the ppi claims pack out in every case and the only difference is 5 minutes of your time and £2 to obtain your credit report and only £1 for every agreement you want checked so do it this way and do not run the risk.
